Nagaland

Nagaland is a state in NE India bordering on Assam and Myanmar ( Burma ). It is a land of jungle covered mountains containing many tribes who were formally head hunters before turning to Christ in the early 20th Century.

Nagaland Bible College (NBC) and Nagaland Christian Residential School (NCRS) are parts of a faith ministry founded by the late Rev Dr Chuba Ao and his wife Tia. The ministry is now run by their daughter Senti, son Mayang as well as Senti’s husband Moa along with many other staff.

The bible college trains young men and women for ministry in several countries but primarily in India and Myanmar through a variety of courses.

The college has a vision to select and send people into the unreached people groups that exist in India, Myanmar, Bangladesh and other countries in the area.

The School has around 400 children from the ages of 4 to 16, of which 120-140 are residential. Many of the children come from poor families and are sponsored by the school. All receive a loving Christian education.

The ministry also supports many church leaders, workers and evangelists in Assam and has a plan to build a local training centre to help train and equip people who cannot afford to come to the Bible College.

Discovery Church have supported the Nagaland Bible College and Christian school for over 20 years and visits have taken place in both directions.

Principle Senti and her husband Moa will be coming to Wroughton in September 2023.
